Titus County is located within a Trauma Service Area as defined by the Governor’s Executive Order GA-32 where COVID-19 patients have exceeded 15% of the total hospital capacity for seven consecutive days,
As a result, County Judge Lee Brian received notice from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) on January 2 informing him that restaurants and other businesses within the Trauma Service Area would have to take specific actions, including rolling customer capacity back to 50 percent.
These restrictions will continue to remain in effect until COVID-19 patient capacity in our Trauma Service Area declines to less than 15% for seven consecutive days. At this time, COVID-19 patient capacity is showing no signs of declining below 15% with active cases reported daily remaining high.
