When
a defendant does not appear in court or the full amount of fine
is not received within 20 working days, a warrant of arrest will
be issued. A fee of $50 per offense is then added to the fine amount.
A police officer may come to your home or place of
employment and arrest you. To avoid this, the defendant must come
to court and make a plea. At that time you will need to make arrangements
to pay your fine or set up a court date for trial. Once this has
been done, the warrant of arrest will be cleared.
