The Patrol Division consists of Residential/Business patrol, Traffic enforcement, Bicycle patrol, Accident Investigations (including Accident Investigation and Reconstruction Specialists), Drug Interdiction / K-9 Units, S.W.A.T. Team and the Reserve Police Officer program.  A Lieutenant commands the division and Patrol Sergeants supervise the patrol shifts.  Each patrol officer works a 4-day on, 3-day off work week.  Currently, twenty-two officers and supervisors are assigned to this division on a full-time basis.  The S.W.A.T. team consists of up to eleven part-time team members from various assignments within the department.  The patrol commander also oversees Animal Control operations.
