The
City of Mount Pleasant has one of the best-equipped and best-working
Communication Divisions in East Texas. The Communications Division consists
of Communications Manager, and eight Communications Officers.
This Division works as a close-knit team of professionals who
enjoy their work. These professionals do much more than dispatch
calls; they help in the community, provide computer support to
officers, and enter numerous reports. The Communications Division
uses a state of the art Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Record Management
System (RMS), and Mobil Computing System (MCS) to receive and dispatch
calls to officers. Communications is responsible for dispatching
fire calls for Titus County, animal control, and police calls for
the city.
Communications is also responsible for countywide
(Titus County) Enhanced 911 system.
