Message from Chief of Police, J.C. (Jay) Burch
Thank you for visiting the Mount Pleasant Police Department web site. It is an honor to serve the citizens, employees and visitors of the City of Mount Pleasant. Mount Pleasant, with a growing population of about 15,000, is a beautiful city in northeast Texas situated along Interstate 30 between Dallas and Texarkana. The police department that serves this fine community numbers over 45 employees. The four major service divisions within the department are: Administration, Patrol, Investigations and Communications.
Police employees should be men and women of high character, integrity and honor. Nothing less is expected of the employees of the Mount Pleasant Police Department. They are committed to serving the public with dignity, fairness and respect. Quality customer service is our goal with continued emphasis on our law enforcement mission.
We are proud of our Police Department and the facilities provided us by the City of Mount Pleasant. If ever in the city, stop by the police station for a visit. It would be our privilege and honor to meet you.
