Parks

The City of Mount Pleasant parks system is one of the best parks systems in Northeast Texas. The available sports and recreational facilities provide the entire area with opportunities to be involved both as a spectator and participant. From our annual sanctioned drag boat racing event to our youth baseball and softball activities, large numbers of area residents are entertained yearly. All of our sports facilities are available for reservation. You need not be a resident of Mount Pleasant or Titus County to use the facilities of the parks.

Come enjoy a stroll in our beautiful Heritage Park, or bring a fishing pole and try your luck in one of our three city lakes. Bring your team and join one of our spring softball tournaments and play on "state of the art" fields with names like "Candlestick " or "Wrigley." If you prefer the quiet life, lounge on the deck at Dellwood Park under the cypress trees overlooking a beautiful reflecting pond. Whatever your pleasure, the Mount Pleasant Park System has something for you.

Of the three cemeteries located within the city limits of Mount Pleasant, one is owned by the City of Mount Pleasant and two are privately owned.
