Computers
The library has six public access computers in the Youth Services Department for completing homework assignments or for recreation. Software includes Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. *Teens thru age 17 must be accompanied by an adult in order to access internet resources. |

Homework First Program
Still need something "extra" to finish up that assignment? The library's Homework First program can help! In-house reference materials, internet access*, and some basic supplies are available to assist in completing projects. Basic supplies such as pencils, paper, scissors, etc. are provided in limited quantities. (Students are encouraged to bring their own supplies.) |

Creation Station
Everything you need to create your own masterpiece! Decide what your masterpiece will be and choose from supplies from the station. Materials are added frequently and may include paints, stamps, throw-a-ways, puppet making supplies, and more. Creation Station is offered occasionally-see the KidStuff! calendar for specific dates! |

Board Silly
No need to be bored. The library has card and board games for in-house use! Games such as Candy Land, Monopoly, Uno, Jenga, and more are sure to entertain the entire family. Check the calendar for scheduled game days. |

Exploration Station
Check out the library's science center! Activities and displays center on basic science concepts and are changed frequently. The station includes a selection of books for further reading on the focus subject. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, J. Frank Dobie Trust and Texas Book Festival. |

Discovery Packs
Thematic collections of books, hands-on activities, games, and additional story ideas for use by home school parents, teachers, and group child care providers. Books and activities selected to reflect the interest and developmental stages of young children.

Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loans are an economical way to borrow additional resources from other libraries. Library members may request books, videos, audios and other materials by completing an ILL form at the main desk. If the material is available for lending, it will be shipped to our library, and may be borrowed following regular circulation procedures. Library member is responsible for return postage. |

Tours
Group tours may be arranged for schools, scout troops, and others. All tours provide basic library information such as how to apply for a library card, using the card catalog, and locating materials. Tours may also include the Family and Local History Department or a walking tour of the downtown area. All tours must be scheduled in advance with the Youth Services Librarian. |

Workshops may be arranged for schools, scout troops, and others in small groups. Some previous workshops include Scrapbooking for Beginners, Puppet Making, and other crafts. All workshops must be scheduled in advance with the Youth Services Librarian. |
