The
library board of the Mount Pleasant Public Library consists of five
members who are appointed by the majority vote of the city council.
Board members recommend policies to govern the
operation and program of the library. They assist in planning, give
guidance, assist in interpreting the policies and functions of the
Library to the public and encourage the development and advancement
