The Mount Pleasant Police Department invites you to participate in the 33rd annual National Night Out (NNO) crime, drug, and violence prevention program.   The citywide community event will be held on the evening of Tuesday, October 3, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at various community parties and is expected to involve hundreds of Mount Pleasant residents and millions across the country.

The purpose of National Night Out is to build strong partnerships between the police and communities and to promote crime awareness programs such as Neighborhood Community Watch groups.

On Tuesday October 3rd between 6-8 PM, Texas residents are encouraged to turn on their porch lights and gather with their neighbors to show unity against criminal activity.  Register your neighborhood for this year's event today. Registration is free and gives police and other city representatives an opportunity to attend your event as time and circumstances permit.

You do NOT have to be a current Neighborhood Watch neighborhood to participate.  National Night Out is for everyone!  Register now and begin planning your event as soon as possible.  Please click on the sign up form and fill it out to sign up for your block party or call the Mount Pleasant Police Department and speak to representative Hollie Motley at 903-575-4113 for details.
