Mount Pleasant Public Library and Historical Museum has something for everyone.

The library has more than 33,000 items available for check-out, including books for children, teens,  adults, audio books, family DVDs and documentaries, and magazines. Ebooks and Eaudio books are also available through Overdrive.

Other books and materials available for in-house use only include the Family and Local History Collection, microfilm, and newspaper archives.

Additional resources include databases, an online tutoring service, interlibrary loan services, and public access computers.

Each age group has a special area including a Children's Area, Teen Room and Adult Section. Small reading nooks are found throughout the library. Two Study Rooms are available for small group study. A Program Room is available for non-profit groups to reserve.

The historical museum focuses on life and times in Mount Pleasant and Titus County in years gone by, and features interactive displays such as a Caddo grass hut, a Civil War camp, and a log cabin.

The library extends into a garden which includes reading areas and a fountain.  Plans are being made to grow native plants to better represent the East Texas area.
