Divisions
Administration
Administration is the consolidation of all the bureaus for the department as a whole and is headed by the chief of police. Administration directly oversees personnel, records, budget, and policies.

Animal Services
The Mount Pleasant Animal Services Center serves the City of Mount Pleasant, Titus County and the City of Pittsburg. Support our animal adoptions.

Communication
Communications The City of Mount Pleasant has one of the best-equipped and best-working Communication Divisions in East Texas. The Communications Division consists of Communications Manager, and eight Communications Officers. This Division works as a close-knit team of professionals who enjoy their work. These professionals do much more than dispatch calls; they help in the community, provide computer support to officers, and enter numerous reports. The Communications Division uses a state of the art Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Record Management System (RMS), and Mobil Computing System (MCS) to receive and dispatch calls to officers. Communications is responsible for dispatching fire calls for Titus County, animal control, and police calls for the city. Communications is also responsible for countywide (Titus County) Enhanced 911 system.

Criminal Investigations
The Operations Division includes criminal investigations, professional standards, and special operations.

Patrol
The Patrol Division consists of residential / business patrol, traffic enforcement, bicycle patrol, accident investigations (including accident investigation and reconstruction specialists), drug interdiction / K-9 Units, S.W.A.T. Team, and the reserve police officer program.

Records
The records manager is responsible for filing, analyzing and state crime reporting for the department.

Specialized Units
The police department has numerous specialized units supporting the functions of the agency.
