Statement
The mission of the City of Mount Pleasant is to ensure the health,
safety and well-being of the community, and to be a model for providing
efficient, effective and quality services.
Our Credo
WE BELIEVE in honest, open, democratic government. We
are dedicated to the highest ideals of honor and integrity in all
public and personal relationships in order to merit the respect,
trust and confidence of the citizens of Mount Pleasant.
WE BELIEVE our primary responsibility is to
those who live, work, visit or otherwise come in contact with our
City. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life by providing
exemplary services which are respected by all and reflective of
our community's desires.
WE BELIEVE it is important to listen and stay
in touch with our citizens, being sensitive and responsive to their
needs.
WE BELIEVE that the employees of the City are
its most important resource and through them our mission will be
accomplished. We will support them with dignity, respect, and concern.
WE BELIEVE that planning, training and innovation,
will provide a vision for the future of the City of Mount Pleasant.
