Q. Is the city responsible for traffic signal lights?
A. No. Contact the Texas Department of Transportation at (903) 572-8511.

Q. Is the city responsible for streetlights?
A. No, but engineering staff will assist in relaying information to AEP/Swepco or you may call directly 1-888-218-3919. You will need location or address of light, and pole number if available.

Q. Whom do I contact to add or move a streetlight?
A. Call the customer service representative at the service center at (903) 575-4135. You will need location or address of pole to be moved or added and pole number, if available, for pole to be moved.

Q. Whom do I contact for a driveway inspection?
A. Call the engineering department at (903) 575-4134 and give the location of the property.

Q. When will my street be paved?
A. Contact the engineering department with location at (903) 575-4134.

Q. How many square miles is Mount Pleasant?
A. 14.6 square miles.

Q. How do I get my curb on my street repaired or replaced?
A. Contact the engineering department at (903) 575-4134 with location.

Q. What materials can be recycled in Mount Pleasant?
A. Used motor oil, paper, aluminum cans, and steel cans. Recycling for glass and plastic is not available. For more information contact (903) 575-4134.
