Code Enforcement has two primary areas of responsibility.

• Code Enforcement: Inspection of property within the city for nuisance violations.
  
• Food Safety: The inspection of food and food service establishments.

The inspection services and abatement of violations process is authorized by the city Code of Ordinances on health and sanitation and food and food service establishments. The protection of public health, safety, and welfare for citizens and visitors is a goal shared by all departments.
