Civic Center Booking Calendar
History
In early 1975, a group of citizens challenged their
friends and neighbors to help with the construction of this long-needed
facility. Timed to coincide with our nation's 200th birthday, their
efforts were rewarded with more than $300,000 in funds, along with
donated materials and labor. Construction was completed and the
debt-free building was dedicated in April of 1976.
In 2001 the civic center was remodeled, at an approximate
cost of $558,887. The 21,000 square foot facility is located on
Interstate 30 and U. S. Hwy. 271 Business (North Jefferson Avenue).
