Are we under a burn ban?
At this time the City of Mt. Pleasant and Titus County are not under a burn ban.
You may burn items such as small tree limbs, sticks, leaves and grass clippings. You must keep them in small piles, stay with the pile while you burn and burn during daylight hours only.
You may NOT burn trash, processed wood, old houses/buildings, tires, etc.
You may NOT leave burn piles unattended.
You may NOT burn after dark.
If anyone complains because of smoke the fire department will ask you to extinguish your fire.
