Stopping the COVID-19 Spread, Together.

(En español)

We continue to see a steady rise in confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Titus County/Mount Pleasant community. As a result, we ask for your immediate cooperation to help stop the spread of the virus and to avoid more stringent requirements that would have a negative impact on our local businesses.

As an owner or manager, you have a vital role in protecting your customers, your employees and your business. Our Titus County Emergency Management Team and local health authorities, the Titus County Health Officer and City of Mount Pleasant Code Enforcement, strongly recommend that you adhere to the following U.S. Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) guidelines:

MASKS:

  • Require employees to wear masks.
  • Require customers to wear masks. (If you are a restaurant, masks may be removed for eating/drinking)

SANTIZE:

  • Have hand sanitizer for customers to use upon entering.
  • Require employees to wash hands with soap and hot water after contact with surfaces for 20 seconds or longer; urge them to avoid touching their face/nose.
  • If not possible to wash with soap/water immediately, use hand sanitizer frequently.

SOCIAL DISTANCE:

  • Maintain at least 6 feet between customers and employees.
  • This includes proper spacing of tables and chairs in a restaurant to meet current capacity limits.

STAY HOME:

  • If you or any employee exhibits symptoms of COVID-19, including a fever, stay home.
  • Employers are advised to take the temperature of employees when they report to work.
  • If symptoms are exhibited, or you or an employee feels they have been exposed to COVID-19, contact your doctor immediately.

TABC:

If you sell or serve alcohol, remember that you are subject to Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Requirements and all current TABC guidelines and enforcement actions under the GA-28 order. That includes a temporary revocation of your permit for failure to abide by this declaration.

Thank you for your cooperation. If you have questions, please contact the City of Mount Pleasant Code Enforcement at: 903-575-4149.
