Friends Workshop sponsored by Northeast Texas Library System will be held in Mt. Pleasant.  Network with other Friends of the Library groups and hear a special speaker, Gail Bialas, former Dallas Public Library fund raiser..

PROGRAMS FOR KIDS

Watch for announcements of Story Time sessions for children ages 6 years and under that will be presented in the Children's Area.   Sessions include stories and activities easily adaptable for 2-6 years.  

PROGRAMS FOR TEENS

TAG-Teen Advisory Group

Calling all teens, Ages 13-17!  Tell us what you'd like to see added to the YA collection, make program suggestions, and have fun with other teens. The library's Teen Advisory Group meets the second and fourth Monday of each month at 5 p.m.  TAG members are teens 13 and up who volunteer their time and effort to improve library services.

Conversation Cafe

Practice a new language or brush -up on your communication skills at the Conversation Cafe.  Participants will chat for 15 minutes in one language and 15 minutes in another language.  Participants will then talk to someone new.   Those wanting to practice English conversation are also encouraged to participate. This is a come- and- go event.   There will be a demonstration of PowerSpeak, the language learning database which offers modules in Spanish, German, French, Chinese, and English as a Second Language.

PROGRAMS FOR FAMILIES

The library is the perfect community place for families to have fun together and enjoy reading or computer time.  Board games are also available in the Children's Area.
