Customers who wish to start, stop or transfer water service should contact the water office during regular office hours.
To establish utility service an application for utility service must be completed. You may download the form (PDF), complete it and bring to the office or you may visit the office to complete it. A $50.00 deposit plus a $30.00 connection fee is required for residential customers before service can be established. A commercial deposit is based on two months billing of a like business, plus the $30.00 connection fee.
Customers transferring their service may do so by phone or by visiting the office in person. If you are transferring and have a current deposit it will transfer to your new address. However, there will be a $30.00 transfer fee added to your bill.
Customers who are stopping their service may do so by phone or by visiting the office in person. Customers will have their deposit deducted from the final bill. Any amounts due to the customer will be refunded, and any amounts owed must be paid to the city.
Rereading of Meters
Customers who believe their meter has been over-read may contact the water office to have their meter reread. Once the meter has been reread, the customer will be contacted and adjustments will be made if needed.
